Dedicated to preserving Superior Township’s parks and green spaces while providing safe, enjoyable recreation for all ages.

Overview

The Parks & Recreation Commission oversees the planning and development of the City’s parks as well as coordinating Parks & Recreation activities for the Township. The Commission is an elected seven member board  that serve a four year term, which coincides with the presidential election cycle.

The Parks & Recreation Commission meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. unless the meeting date falls on a holiday. In that event the meeting will take place the following Tuesday. The Commission meets in the Old Township Hall at the corner of Prospect and Cherry Hill (3040 N. Prospect).

The Superior Township Parks and Recreation Commission is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents and future generations by maintaining high standards of excellence in public service.  We achieve this through the preservation, enhancement, and protection of our parks, natural resources, and green spaces.  We are committed to providing safe, enjoyable recreational opportunities and programs that foster a strong sense of community, encourage social interaction, and promote the physical and mental well-being of our residents.

Meetings

Regular Board of Trustees meetings are held at Township Hall, 3040 N. Prospect, at 7:00 p.m. on the third Monday of each month. Check the schedule below for holiday adjustments.
