We have been notified by GFL, our trash collection service provider, of significant billing and collection issues affecting our community. It is important for each resident to be aware of the situation and the impending changes to ensure uninterrupted trash collection services.

 GFL has informed us that as of April 15th, they will cease service for any addresses that remain on credit hold, in collections, or have not contacted GFL to reinstate services.

Key Points to Note:

  • Currently, 537 homes in our township are facing issues with their GFL service accounts due to non-payment. These accounts are on credit hold, placed with collections, or have been completely cancelled.
  • Despite these billing issues, GFL has continued to provide trash collection services to these addresses without interruption.
  • Attempts to resolve these issues through collections calls and past due letters have been made, but with limited success.

How You Can Help:

  • Check Your Account Status: If you are unsure about the status of your trash collection service account, please contact GFL directly to confirm your status and make any necessary payments.
  • Reinstate Services if Necessary: If your service has been placed on hold or cancelled, please take immediate action to contact GFL and reinstate your service to avoid interruption.
