Peddler's/Solicitor's License

All peddlers, solicitors, and canvassers operating within Superior Charter Township are required to obtain a license under Township Ordinance No. 189. You can review the full ordinance here: Peddler’s and Solicitor’s Ordinance (PDF)

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted in person or by mail to the Clerk’s Office. Online submissions are not accepted at this time.

  1. Download and complete the following required forms:

  2. Prepare the following required documents:

    • Two (2) identical passport-style photos (2” × 2”) – physical copies only

    • A copy of your valid government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID)

    • A brief letter describing the purpose of your soliciting or peddling activity (what you are offering, and for what purpose)

    • Payment of the nonrefundable $25.00 application fee (payable by cash, check, or money order to Charter Township of Superior)

Once your application and fee have been received, the Clerk’s Office will review your materials and contact you if additional information is needed. If approved, a license issuance fee of $20.00 will be due when the permit is picked up.
