Wetlands Board

A township-appointed board that reviews and decides on wetlands-related permit appeals and matters to help manage and protect wetland areas within the community.

Overview

Superior Township is one of just a handful of communities in Michigan with an established Wetlands Ordinance, and maintaining these important areas within our community is one of the core functions of the Wetlands Board.

Meetings

The Wetlands Board meets as needed to conduct its annual review of the Township Wetlands Map and to hear appeals of wetlands use permit decisions. Appeals must be heard within 60 days after being filed with the Township Clerk.

Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. at Township Hall, 3040 N. Prospect Road, Ypsilanti, unless otherwise stated in the meeting notice. Meeting notices will be posted on this page in accordance with the Open Meetings Act and published through Township Digital News. Subscribers to Digital News will receive meeting notices by email.
