ORDINANCE NO. 159

AMENDMENT OF DANBURY PARK TAX EXEMPTION ORDINANCE– FIRST READING
Please take note that the first reading of an Ordinance amending Ordinance No.159 for the Charter
Township of Superior entitled the “Danbury Park Manor Tax Exemption Ordinance” by adding new
sections 159.09A., 159-09B., 159-09C. and 159-09D.

The amendment of Danbury Park Tax Exemption Ordinance No. 159 was made at the regular meeting of the Charter Township of Superior Board of Trustees on January 21, 2025, at the Superior Charter
Township Hall located at 3040 N. Prospect Road, Ypsilanti, MI 48198. This ordinance amends
Ordinance 159 by adding sections 159-09A – “Service chare constitutes a lien on property” which
provides that service charges are a lien on said property: 159-09B – “Collection of Service Charge”
which provides that service charges are payable in the same manner as property taxes, 159-09C –
“Service Charge Lein” which provides that in the event of a transfer of the property any
delinquencies are liens on the property and 159-09D – “Default” which authorizes the Township to
file suit to collect deficiencies.

The second reading and adoption is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the regular meeting
of the Charter Township of Superior Board of Trustees. Publication and Posting of the Ordinance was
made by posting in the Office of the Clerk, 3040 N. Prospect, Ypsilanti MI, 48198, a notice of
posting was made in the Ann Arbor News (a newspaper circulating within the Township), MLive
and on the Township website – www.superiortownship.org – pursuant to Section 8 of the Charter
Township Act, being MCL 42.8, 3(b). The ordinance as presented contained typographical errors which
will be corrected in the final reading prior to adoption.
